Almost Ready!

We’re almost ready to officially launch here at Jobaloo.com. In fact, if you go to the front page, you’ll see that we’ve got our design up and in place. We haven’t turned everything on just yet, you’ll notice that the block links at the bottom of the page don’t go anywhere yet, but we hope to have that finished up PDQ.

Keep checking back with us, and this blog will hopefully be updated frequently with job search related stories, tips and techniques…

Answering 6 common interview questions

This is an article from CNN.com and Careerbuilder.com which advises you on how to answer the following questions in a job interview:

1. Tell me about yourself

2. Why should we hire you?

3. Why do you want to work here?

4. What are your weaknesses?

5. What did you dislike about your last job? Why did you leave your last job?

6. Where do you see yourself in five years?

I think these are standard questions. I think that every job interview I’ve ever been on had these questions as part of the process. Yeah, it can get tiresome if you’re answering these questions for the fifth time this week, but it apparently these questions aren’t going away anytime soon, so it is in your best interest to master how to answer them in a way that is going to benefit your chances.
